Abertay is a quaint first floor flat situated in the heart of Newburgh in Fife. Newburgh is the most north westerly village in the historic Kingdom of Fife, sitting on the banks of the River Tay looking onto Mugdrum Island. The flat is situated in a quiet close within a shared courtyard. It has one bedroom overlooking the courtyard, with a newly refurbished shower room. Both the bedroom and shower room have sliding doors for easier access. There is an open plan living area with a cosy, newly fitted out kitchen area providing all the essentials you might need. The lounge area has an electric fire, large flat screen TV, comfortable sofa and recliner chair. The dining table and chairs are positioned at the window with a view down to the river. It is only a short walk down the road to the riverside where you can explore or perhaps go fishing. This village centre location means you are within walking distance of all essential amenities. There is a lovely selection of shops including cafes, an art centre/gallery, specialist craft studio and a local supermarket. One of the local pubs is just across the road from the property.For a larger selection of shops, theatre, leisure facilities and much more you can choose from either Cupar or Perth, as both are only about 10 miles away.

About the local area

Newburgh makes the ideal location to explore this area of Scotland as it sits close to three county borders - Fife, Perth/Kinross and Dundee/Angus. There are many and varied activities for all ages and interests. This is a fantastic area for outdoor enthusiasts; the hills behind Newburgh form the eastern end of the Ochil Hills offering great walks. The "Coast to Coast" long distance walk, which stretches from Oban to St Andrews, passes close by. There are marked cycle ways to explore and numerous lochs and rivers providing ideal opportunities for fishing and canoeing. This is a golfer's paradise with a large number of local golf courses and top class international courses such as St Andrews. Activities such as 4x4 driving, horse riding and wild fowling can be found within easy distance. Throughout the year Fife and Perthshire are venues for a variety of large events including T in the Park and the Pert Racecourse. There are many historical places of interest including St Andrews, Abernethy Pictish Round Tower, Scone Palace, the Black Watch Museum, Royal Palace of Falkland, Dunfermline Abbey to name a few. With great motorway links you can easily venture further afield: north to the Highlands or Grampians or alternatively head south to perhaps Edinburgh which is only an hour's drive away.Newburgh is a great base to start exploring all that stunning Fife, Perthshire and Angus have to offer.
