Ardross Apartment is located within walking distance of the tranquil village of Kinlochard. This is a well presented first floor property forming part of a beautiful, imposing Victorian house, once a Hunting Lodge. The house has an elevated position on the hillside looking south over Loch Ard. From the lounge window there is a magnificent, uninterrupted view to the loch and the hills beyond. The kitchen is fully fitted and well equipped. Both bedrooms have original high ceilings and the family bedroom is bright and spacious. Guests are welcome to stroll around the owners well kept garden, six acres with rolling lawns, glorious flower beds, vegetable plots, wood carvings and a sweeping driveway. In the evening enjoy a BBQ at the side of the small trout pond, wander to the loch side or just relax on your own private balcony. With loch side access and fishing rights, as well as facilities to launch a boat or canoe you can really enjoy this stunning location within the heart of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. Watch the eagles and ospreys soar high in the sky and pine martens hide in the trees. Red squirrels, deer, foxes and wild goats are also often spotted and otters have been known to wander up to the trout pond for a spot of supper!

This is a fantastic location for outdoor enthusiasts; the vast Queen Elizabeth Forest is right on the door step. There are endless miles of forest tracks and trails to explore for both walkers and cyclists. The Trossachs has spectacular mountains to climb like Ben Lomond, Ben A'an, Ben Venue and Ben Ledi. Loch Ard itself is stunning, with small islands and a crannog to explore. There are resident Canada geese and many different species of birds and ducks can be found by the loch.. A gentle walk along the loch side leads to the hotel complex's facilities and bar. Clay pigeon shooting, bike and canoe hire, guided walks, 4x4 safaris, quad biking and sailing are all available locally. In the surrounding area there are plenty of other activities for every age and interests. For the adventurous there is a high wire forest adventure, with the longest zip wire in Britain at Aberfoyle along with an 18 hole golf course. From this central location it's easy to travel and explore further afield. The Glengoyne Distillery producing Highland Single Malt Whisky, is only 11 miles south at Dumgoyne. The Loch Katrine Steamship "Sir Walter Scott" is a great cruise. Blair Drummond Safari Park, just outside Stirling is only a half hour drive away and a visit to Stirling can provide lots of historical places of interest to explore or a spot of retail therapy.

Can only say 5 stars all round and we're already wishing we had another week free to visit. Everything was absolutely perfect and we will definitely stay there again. Probably one of the nicest places we've stayed. The owners were welcoming and friendly but never intrusive. We really didn't want to leave.
Good location, fantastic views, owners very friendly and helpful, beautifully appointed apartment, would love to go there again.
Could not have chosen better. 5* accomodation and lovely people.
