The Joiner's Shop is a cosy ground floor apartment within a woodland setting, located on a quiet back road on the west side of Glendaruel. The accommodation has been accredited 4* and comprises of a beautifully co ordinated twin bedroom with large 4 feet wide single beds, a very comfortable lounge with bed settee (for + 1), kitchenette and shower room. The Joiner's Shop has its own main entrance at the front of the building. This property can also be booked along with The Sawmill to provide accommodation for up to 8 people. There is a connecting internal stair which can be used if both properties are booked together. The apartment dates back to 1907 when it was indeed used as a joiner's shop forming part of the Watermill. The entire property was designed by renowned architect William Leiper as a working mill and housed two families (one upstairs, one down) as well as all the small industrial plant needed for such an operation. The original design enables the modern day accommodation to have a real sense of separation, each element of the building having its own entrance.
