Nestling in the heart of Royal Deeside, this detached cottage has been converted, using the original stone, from an old steading and enjoys magnificent views of Deeside and Mount Keen. Views of Lochnagar (one of Scotland's 284 munros - mountains over 3,000ft) can also be admired after a short uphill walk. Boghead Cottage is situated on a 36 acre farm with ponds, small burns and woodland - an area where many different species of bird can be found, along with pathways for walking, relaxing and enjoying the peace and tranquillity.

About the local area
The quiet village of Lumphanan is 1.5 miles away where there is a shop, post office and restaurant. Numerous outdoor activities are readily available, with a 9-hole golf course in Lumphanan and an 18-hole course in Aboyne, just 7 miles away. There is an activity centre offering archery, quad biking and shooting etc. just outside Aboyne. For the more adventurous there is plenty of walking and climbing in the Cairngorms, part of the Cairngorm National Park - the largest National Park in Britain. Aberdeen is 26 miles to the west with its many amenities and attractions. Balmoral, Fraser, Drum and Braemar Castles are all within easy reach. Golf, fishing, horse-riding, gliding, cycling and skiing are all available locally. Boghead Cottage is an ideal location to explore Royal Deeside renowned for its whisky, castle and Heritage trails and abundance of outdoor activity.
