From this fantastic central location visitors can explore all that is on offer in Argyll and Lochaber. Oban is 34 miles to the South and Fort William is 15 miles to the North. There are fantastic outdoor activities available including walking, cycling, skiing, snow boarding, climbing, kayaking, diving, sailing and caving. There are many historical places of interest which includes Glencoe itself and a visit to the NTS visitor centre is a great place to discover all about it. The spectacular coastline and abundant wildlife offers something for all ages and interests.Visit the Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary, learn some water sports skills or try out the 9 hole golf course at Ballachulish. This location is near to the route of the "West Highland Way", a long distance walk (95 miles) from Milngavie to Fort William, so it's a fantastic location to explore parts of this route, walk the renowned Devil Staircase or just enjoy the wonderful topography of the area, with many mountains over 3,000 feet, ideal for Munro Baggers!
