Glen Mallie is one of five lodges set in landscaped gardens adjoining the owner's working croft farm on the shores of Loch Eli and Loch Linnhe.  Enjoy a meal and a dram at the local pub by the side of the Caledonian Canal and watch boats negotiate the incredible flight of lock gates, known as Neptune's staircase.  This property is perfectly placed for enjoying a wealth of outdoor activities, suitable for all ages and abilities.

About the local area

Climbing and hill walking in the Nevis range, mountain biking on the World Championship course (the Mountain Biking World Championships  are held here annually), fishing in lochs, rivers and sea, golf an numerous water sports are all on the doorstep. Ski Ben Nevis, or take a ride in the spectacular gondola cable car to the top, which runs all year round, and enjoy a meal at the mountain restaurant. Take a bicycle ride along the scenic Great Glen Cycling route by the side of the Caledonian Canal.  In the summer months the West Highland steam train, as seen in the Harry Potter films, can be taken to Maillaig, where ferries depart for the Isle of Skye and the small isles. The beatuiful and mysterious Loch Ness and the historic and atmospheric mountains of Glencoe are both just a short drive away.
