This spectacular region, known as Trotternish, is rich in natural places of interest. The magnificent Kilt Rock waterfall is just 2 miles away. The Old Man of Storr and the amazing Quiraing mountain range dominate the region's dramatic skyline. This is a truly superb location for climbing, walking, sea kayaking, pony trekking, fishing and for just relaxing and enjoying the total peace and tranquillity of this beautiful and unspoilt area. There are a number of small islands just off the coast (the isle of Rhona can be seen from the cottage) and small local boats will take you to view the seals in the bay, to picnic on the islands or to try your hand at a spot of sea-fishing. This is also eagle territory and sea and golden eagles are regularly spotted. The pretty harbour town of Portree, just 13 miles away, offers an excellent selection of small shops, restaurants and some of the best seafood to be found anywhere in Britain. A day trip to the Outer Isles of Lewis and Harris is available from Uig, approximately 10 miles away. Ancient castles, unspoilt beaches and the famous Cuillin Mountains all add to the magic of the beautiful Isle of Skye. This property can also be let with The Barn (property number 511031), which is situated on the same track, for a combined holiday for 8 people.

Excellent cottage in spectacular surroundings.
A real home from home in a fantastic location. The views from the lodge were breathtaking and being able to walk to the beach and to Brothers' Point from our door step was a real bonus.
Beautiful cottage, couldn't ask for more when staying there. The 10 hour drive from Manchester was forgotten after 5 minutes of arriving.
