The Studio at Ebbtide is the epitome of the word "bijou". The dictionary defines bijou as "small and elegant" and this aptly describes this delightful studio apartment for two. It is superbly situated close to the sea shore. This ground floor apartment is completely self contained, with its own separate access and private gardens. The accommodation is open plan, with the bedroom and living area separated from the kitchen by a small dividing wall. This bright, modern room is beautifully presented, with colour coordinated soft furnishings and a super king sized zip and link bed which convert to two single beds if preferred. There are spectacular views through the French windows that look out across the sea to the hills and mountains beyond. The bathroom is spacious with full sized bath with shower over. The entrance door opens onto a pretty garden with shrubs and a patio area with picnic table and chairs, and vistas of the sea loch, hills and mountains beyond. It is located in the small hamlet of Dunan, 51/2 miles from Broadford. This thriving village, overlooking Broadford Bay, has an excellent selection of amenities. There are a number of restaurants, bars and cafes as well as a good selection of shops - from interesting individual stores to a larger supermarket. The local area is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. Dolphins, seals and otters have been spotted in the bay below the apartment. There is a small track that leads down to the shoreline below and visitors are welcome to launch canoes and other small craft here. There is also a boatyard just 1/2 mile away where sailing and motor boats can be hired. There are wonderful walks direct from the property across the hills and into the mountains. There is also an excellent golf course open to visitors just a short drive away. The Studio at Ebbtide is ideally situated for exploring the whole of this magical isle. To the north is Portree, the "capital" of Skye. Here brightly painted cottages cluster round the active harbour where some of the finest fish restaurants can be found. This bustling, atmospheric town boasts an excellent selection of interesting local shops, together with bars, restaurants and cafes. There is a superb leisure centre which is open to visitors. It has a 25 metre swimming pool, a climbing wall, gym and a number of indoor sports. Just a short trip south is Sleat, known as "the garden of Skye". Nearby Armadale Castle is well worth a visit. Seat of the Clan Donald, it boasts superb gardens and grounds set in 20,000 acres, as well as a fascinating museum. A ferry also sails from Armadale harbour across to Mallaig on the western mainland, a truly memorable day out. Surrounded by miles of breathtaking coastline, with awe inspiring mountain ranges, magical cast;es and historical sites, the visitor is spoilt for choice.

Skye is one of the largest and best known Scottish islands and is particularly famous for its spectacular mountain scenery. It is also home to some dramatic history, diverse wildlife and rugged mountain beauty. The island of Skye makes for a great holiday destination with many visitor attractions, endless walking routes and fabulous restaurants.
Due to its popularity with tourists, you will find many craft shops and cottage museums. As for sports, you can visit the swimming pool in Portree, play golf at Sconser and Skeabost or go pony trekking. Watersports available on the island include diving, canoeing, windsurfing and yachting. Skye is also the ideal place for fishing and birdwatching.
Skye is easily accessible by either road or ferry. The road bridge is accessible from the Kyle of Lochalsh on mainland Scotland making it ideal for a day trip as well as a longer stay.
Lochalsh is truly highland territory full of clans and castles, hills of heather and views of lochs to the sea beyond. Visit the village of Plockton, a picture perfect location or Scotland’s highest waterfall, The Five Sisters of Kintail. Where ever you go you are sure to be surrounded by some truly awesome scenery.
The Western Isles is a chain of islands also known as the Outer Hebrides. The main destination is the Isle of Lewis, a fairly flat island with many spectacular sandy beaches, a rugged coastline and a landscape that is worth investigating. Visitors will enjoy lots of activities including fishing, cycling, walking and bird watching. There are many other standing stones and archaeological monuments to visit too.
The rest of the western Isles can be explored using Lewis as a base. Most of the surrounding islands are covered in a blanket of peat meaning they are teaming with wildlife. Spot birds such as Kittiwakes, Guillemots, Kestrels, Hen Harriers and Redshank. With any luck you may even see otters, seals, eagles or dolphins off shore. In the summer months there are many colourful wild flowers to be seen and if you visit later in the season you can enjoy the heather in full bloom.
