Anvil Cottage was built in 1894 by a local blacksmith as a home for his family. This very attractive stone built cottage has recently been extensively renovated to a very high specification and now represents a luxuriously sleek boutique style accommodation in beautiful countryside setting. The accommodation comprises a superb fitted kitchen with built in fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and ceramic hob and oven. There is a breakfast area which seats four. The dining room, which faces south, has generous seating for four and overlooks the pretty landscaped cottage gardens. The lounge is light and airy and provides a warm, intimate atmosphere, with a lovely wood burning stove and deep soft leather suites. Upstairs the two large double bedrooms both enjoy south views over the expansive farming landscape of Moray, towards the imposing hills of Ben Rhinnes. The luxurious bathroom, with under floor heating, is finished throughout in porcelain tiling, and has an exceptionally large walk in shower. Outside there are fully enclosed gardens to the front and rear, a log shed and two pretty seating areas with good 'all round the day' sunny spots.

Aultmore, a small hamlet established around the Aultmore Distillery, is approximately two miles from the attractive stone village of Keith and is an ideal spot from which to explore the beautiful unspoilt countryside of Moray. Golf is a popular pastime and there are a number of excellent courses in the area. Situated in the heart of the whisky country, there are numerous distilleries and castles on the famous 'Whisky and Castle Trails' and the Fishing Heritage Trail offer a fascinating glimpse into the bygone world of the local fishing industry that dominated the region. The pretty fishing villages dotted along the Moray coast are a real delight, with small winding streets and pretty harbours. Boat trips run from the nearby fishing village of Buckie and are highly recommended to view the sea life closer to hand. The famous bottle nosed dolphins of the Moray Firth are regular visitors and the area is renowned for its wealth of sea birds and even the occasional whale has been spotted close to shore.
Anvil Cottage is also ideally located for exploring the two main Highland cities of Aberdeen and Inverness, being almost equidistant between them. With miles of unspoilt coastline, interspersed with pretty fishing villages, castles and distilleries it provides a superb base from which to explore this beautiful and fascinating area.
