Gairloch is a charming village set on the west coast, surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches, with the awe-inspiring Torridon mountain range as a dramatic back-drop. There is a good selection of shops in the small but vibrant village, as well as excellent restaurants, bars and cafés. Warmed by the Gulf Stream this beautiful region of the Western Highlands is a unique area, where palm trees and rare plants flourish; the sub-tropical gardens at Inverewe bear testament to this and are well worth a visit. The owner of Caberfeidh has his own small craft and runs fishing trips to suit all needs, from a 2 hour family trip to a full day, including a special Giant Skate fishing trip. He also runs separate wildlife trips, including a wonderful voyage out to the uninhabited Shaints islands (the only trip from mainland Scotland to these remote islands) to view the millions of nesting sea-birds, spotting whales and dolphins on the way. The immediate area offers a wealth of activities including a 9-hole golf course, pony trekking, cycling (bikes available for hire locally), canoeing and sailing, as well as walking and climbing in the spectacular Ben Eighe national park in the heart of the Torridon mountain range. With unspoilt sandy beaches and superb scenery, this is a superb holiday location for all ages.

Property had all the facilities one would require for a relaxing holiday. The kitchen especially had all the equipment one could possibly need.
The cottage was clean and well maintained.
The cottage owner made sure there was a pint of milk in the fridge upon arrival, with coffee and tea available which was a nice gesture.
