Scotland has some of the most famous and best golf courses in Britain (if not the world) and there are lots of them, with almost 600 to choose from! So it's easy to find good local golf courses throughout Scotland where you will be welcomed during your stay.
As well as famous links golf courses like St. Andrews and Carnoustie, Royal Troon and Turnberry or Muirfield and Royal Dornoch, you'll find hundreds of really excellent golf courses such as Ladybank in Fife and Downfield near Dundee, Blairgowrie in Perthshire and Portpatrick in Dumfries and Galloway.

It's worth remembering that at some golf courses you will need to contact them in advance to book your tee time and you may need to show them a handicap certificate, although this is not always required, especially at the smaller clubs.
