The Speyside Way is one of four official long distance walking routes in Scotland. The route is just under eighty miles long and runs from the lovely fishing port of Buckie on the east coast to Aviemore at the foothills of the awe inspiring Grampian Mountains. This beautiful and popular walk broadly follows the valley route of the lovely River Spey. The walk offers both easy and challenging stretches with the toughest and arguably most scenic stretches running between Ballindaloch and Grantown on Spey and the Ballindalloch to Tomintoul spur. The walk runs close to a number of pubs and tea rooms offering a wide range of hot and cold food during the main holiday season.
