This long and challenging walk takes you over one of the finest and most dramatic ridge traverses in Britain. The Trotternish ridge walk is a unique 20 mile walk which, although includes no climbing or scrambling, is extremely challenging and so the full version of it should only be taken by fully experienced and well equipped hill walkers. It is, however, highly rewarding and affords panoramic views over the Cuilins, the Western Isles and the mountains of Wester Ross. The ridge can also be taken in smaller stages and walked in a shorter time period if following the various footpaths which are also available!
