The Beatrix Potter Garden in Birnam tells the storey of the author and her life in the area, whilst over in Dunkeld stands the magnificent Cathedral, close to the banks of the River Tay. Pitlochry with its Festival Theatre, Explorers Garden and good selection of shops and restaurants is only 10 miles away. The area is well known for its spectacular scenery and there is no better way to explore than by walking on one of the many forestry tracks and way-marked trails. And for the more adventurous there are a number of Munros (mountains over 3,000ft) within an hours drive.
