Balbeg Farm Cottage is a delightful stone built, semi detatched, cottage, offering bright and spacious accommodation. Idyllically situated, Balbeg sits in an elevated position, with breathtaking views of Loch Tay and the surrounding hills. Balbeg has a pretty garden with seating area, perfect for those long summer evenings, where you can relax with a drink and admire that stunning scenery. Kenmore, Killin and Aberfeldy are all within easy reach and offer a good selection of shops and restaurants, whilst The Ben Lawers Hotel is approx 2 miles away and offers an excellent selection of food. Highland Perthshire is a walker’s paradise, some of the finest mountains are found here including Ben Lawers, which at 3984ft is Perthshire’s highest and the 9th highest in Scotland. There are also a number of lowland trails and forestry tracks. The area is well known for its outdoor activities which include cycling, white water rafting, fishing, off road driving and horse riding, all of which are available locally. For Golf enthusiasts there are several good 9 and 18 hole courses within a short drive. You could join a tour at one of the local whisky distilleries, Perthshire is the home to Edradour Distillery which is the smallest distillery in Scotland. If all of this has left you feeling hungry you could sample one of the fine local restaurants at the Ardeonaig Hotel, Fortingall Hotel or the Courtyard in Kenmore. For a bit of history you could visit the ancient Yew tree in Fortingall, believed to be more than 2,000 years old, visit the Scottish Crannog Centre in Kenmore, where you will find a living history display of this ancient loch dwelling or take a trip to Castle Menzies. In all Balbeg Farm Cottage is an idyllic place to either relax and enjoy the stunning scenery or have fun in the great outdoors!
