Beech is a beautiful newly built detached house situated in an elevated position in the Inverness-shire hills and enjoying stunning uninterrupted views across Ben Wyvis mountain range and the waters of the Beauly Firth. The property is set in open countryside close to the picturesque hamlet of Moniack, famed for its vineyards and winery. The nearest village is Beauly, just 4 miles away. This charming historic village has an excellent selection of restaurants and bars as well as a good array of interesting and unusual small shops. The accommodation is set over two floors and enjoys amazing views of hills and mountains with the Beauly Firth clearly visible beyond. The main living accommodation is open-plan. A superb sitting room, dining area and kitchen runs the length of the house. French windows open onto decking with table and chairs for alfresco dining. There is a lovely double en-suite bedroom downstairs and a further spacious double bedroom on the first floor. Beech is ideally located and easily accessible for exploring the Highlands, yet only 15 minutes drive from Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. This vibrant, bustling city has superb leisure facilities including a multi-million pound theatre complex, an ice rink, twelve-screen cinema and a swimming ‘aqua-dome’. There are a wide variety restaurants, cafes and bars, set against the backdrop of the imposing Inverness castle that looks down on the river Ness. There are many places of interest and historical sites within easy reach, including Cawdor Castle, with its stunning gardens, superb drawbridge and fascinating history, dating back to the days of ‘Macbeth’. Wander through the atmospheric battlefields of Culloden and visit the new audio visual experience or take a short drive to Fort George, set out on a promontory with spectacular views of the Moray Firth. There are also numerous sandy beaches and miles of unspoilt coastline to explore. Local facilities include golf, fishing, horse riding, sailing, canoeing, mountain biking, hill walking and climbing. The Moray Firth area is renowned for its population of bottle-nosed dolphins and there are a number of boat trips available to view the dolphins, seals and wide variety of bird life close to hand. Loch Ness is also easily accessible and provides a memorable day out. There are two ‘monster’ exhibitions, boat trips on the loch and the stunningly beautiful Urquhart Castle situated at the head of Loch Ness. There are some lovely walks direct from the property. With hills, mountains, quiet lanes and forest walks there is something for everyone. Please note that Beech may also be available to let with the adjoining property, Rowan, for a combined family holiday.
