Really friendly family. Very quiet place to spend peaceful holidays. Close to many tourist attractions. Ideally located.
Ash Cottage was a real "find". A very friendly family run business on a peaceful and well maintained farm just outside Ayr with stunning views from it's hillside location. We had been slightly concerned about a couple of things before we arrived there: firstly we didn't see any star-rating for it, and secondly it's close proximity to Prestwick Airport. We need not have worried on either count as the cottage would easily rate at 4 stars, and the very few planes leaving the airport actually added a bit of excitement for our early teens children (and there were no planes heard overnight!!). We had a lovely time and would definitely book Ash Cottage if travelling that way again.
