This spacious detached cottage is situated in a tranquil location, surrounded by rolling hills with stunning views over the sea, yet is only 2 miles from the pretty harbour village of Portpatrick with its shops and restaurants. The coastline is just stunning, with clifftop walks direct from the door. There are sandy beaches, shingle and rocky coves to explore and birdlife in abundance. The RSPB Mull of Galloway, with thousands of nesting birds, is within easy reach, and the visitor centre is worth a visit. The area is very popular with walkers, with the Southern Upland Way passing close by.
The town of Stranraer is nearby and offers shops, restaurants and pubs, and there are many coastal villages to explore in the area. Sea fishing can be found in Portpatrick, and both trout and salmon fishing can also be enjoyed locally. Other country pursuits available include shooting and horse riding, and for golfers, there is a course at Dunskey and at Lagganmore, 2 miles away. Day trips to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan.
