Lockerbie

Lockerbie is home to just 4,000 residents but despite its size, it is the perfect destination to experience the Scottish way of life and is rich with a diverse range of activities and visitor attractions. Situated in the county of Dumfries and Galloway in south west Scotland, Lockerbie is just 20 miles from English border, with the city of Glasgow 75 miles away. The stunning scenery lures tourists who can enjoy miles of country walks and safe cycleways. There are no less than 30 golf courses in the region and fishing is a popular past time. Popular fishing spots include the River Annan and St Mary's Loch, a large lake that is also great for sailing. Drumlangrig Castle is a top tourist attraction in the region, offering guided tours, a chance to explore the landscaped gardens and seek out wildlife together with miles of walking paths and cycle routes.
