At 35 miles long, the River Urr has plenty of good sights to fish on. Again salmon and trout are common here but the river is one of only three in Scotland which allows fishing until the end of November.

Named after the creater of the pedal bicycle, Kirkpatrick Macmillan the KM Cycle Trail was made to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the bicycle in 1990.

This walk has some stunning views on route, taking you through the woodland surrounding Drumlanrig Castle whilst also giving you chance to explore its gardens.

With over 300 square miles of mixed landscapes to explore this diverse natural playground is one of the most popular places to visit in Scotland.
