Cill Dara Apartment is located in a quiet cul-de-sac within the heart of the West Coast town of Oban, only a 10 minute walk from the shops, seafront and promenade where you can watch a diverse array of yachts/boats/ferries, or even a seaplane, coming and going in the bay. This first floor holiday apartment is well presented and includes everything you need in self catering accommodation, as well as benefiting from having its own enclosed garden and off road parking for three cars. The three bedrooms are beautifully co-ordinated and each is a good size. The lounge is comfortable and provides a lovely space to relax in after a day exploring Argyll. The kitchen is located off the lounge and there is a separate dining room to enjoy family meals.

About the local area

Cill Dara is close to all amenities and within walking distance of the ferry, train and bus services making it an ideal location to access by public transport. Oban has a large selection of shops, leisure facilities and live traditional music venues. There is a local whisky distillery and overlooking the town is the famous McCaigs Tower. There are some great restaurants and the area is well known for its seafood and local produce. Oban is known as the “Gateway to the Isles” with ferries leaving for Mull & Iona, Coll, Tiree, Colonsay, Lismore and Kerrera. The area of Argyll has so much to offer all ages and interests. To the North there is the Sea Life Centre at Benderloch; the famous “Hollow Mountain” at Cruachan is home to a hydro scheme built deep into the mountain and a reservoir high above – a unique attraction for all the family. To the South is Kilmartin Glen, an area rich in historical legacy, offering over 350 ancient monuments to find and explore. The marvelous countryside, stunning scenery and sea views provide great opportunities to spot wildlife: deer are on the hillside, eagles soaring high in the sky and seals bobbing in the sea. Argyll is fantastic for walkers and climbers with many hill and mountain ranges within the area. For cycling enthusiasts’ there are miles of forestry tracks to explore. Coastal walks provide great bird watching opportunities, places to launch a canoe/kayak or to try your hand at a spot of sea fishing. There are a number of local golf courses within easy reach. Cill Dara Apartment has a fantastic central position within Oban and Argyll, making it a great holiday location.
