These two superbly furnished and lovingly renovated cottages have been created from the wing of the owners’ country mansion house, just a short drive from the lovely seafront at Carnoustie, where guests can walk or cycle all the way along the sandy shoreline to the world famous golf links. The stylish furnishings create a relaxed ambience with many luxurious touches including underfloor heating and well-appointed bathrooms. Comfortable beds and linens complement antique furniture and guests will love the free access to the on-site pool, steam room, sauna and high-end gym, (these facilities are also open to the public).
The Servants Hall features a high standard of comfort, ideal for a special occasion. There is a private paved area at the rear of the cottage where guests can enjoy a glass of wine or relax in the sunshine.
Courtyard Cottage (ref UK10542) is a delightful, ground floor property with a well-appointed, open plan living space and two good sized bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room. Both properties have use of a hot tub which seats 5 and is shared between the two apartments. A booking system is in place to ensure each property has exclusive use.
The owners take pride in ensuring a pleasant and relaxing stay and are on hand to offer any suggestions for days out. This is a golfer’s paradise, there are many superb courses within an hour’s drive including St Andrews and Kings Barns. Non-golfers are also well catered for with the beautiful sandy beach just below the links course which is easily accessed by ramps and steps, and the adjacent leisure centre offers outdoor tennis, children’s play area and paddling pool. Plenty of cycle paths run along the shore line and there are many walking opportunities along the coastal path or inland in one of the five Angus Glens. The historic port of Arbroath is just 5 miles away where you can buy fresh and smoked fish daily, while slightly further afield, the cities of Dundee, Perth and Edinburgh offer all sorts of amenities and tourist attractions, including the very popular Victoria & Albert Museum, accessible either by car or by the excellent rail links from the town itself. Inland there are many castles and stately homes to explore nearby, notably Glamis Castle and Scone Palace, or alternatively, just relax and enjoy the immediate surroundings. Beach ¼ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
