Description

Golland Cottage is a lovely detached bungalow nestling beside a working farm near Kinross in Perthshire. The cottage has its own large enclosed garden offering a fantastic space for children to play and enjoy the comings and goings of farm life. Accommodation in the cottage is all on one level, allowing easy access for everyone. The lounge has an open fire and a wonderful light and airy aspect. The kitchen is well equipped. The dining area is within the kitchen. The three bedrooms provide ample room for everyone to relax and enjoy their stay.

About the local area

Carnbo is in the heart of Perth and Kinross where hill walking, fishing, shooting and a variety of water sports are only a small sample of the many leisure activities on offer. Kinross is only 4.5 miles away; it has good leisure facilities and a large supermarket, as well as a lovely selection of local shops. Kinross sits next to Loch Leven where there are great opportunities for bird watching or take the ferry over to explore Castle Island where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned in 1567. There is a local gliding club nearby and helicopter rides are available at Scone airport. The spectacular Fife Coastal Route, where many picturesque fishing villages and stunning scenery can be explored, is easily accessible and golfing enthusiasts will enjoy the several prestigious courses, including Gleneagles and St Andrews, close by. Perth offers visitors ample attractions, including many fine restaurants, a large concert hall plus several historical sites of interest such as Scone Palace and Perth races only 22 miles away - and Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh, with its magnificent castle, museums, art galleries and renowned festival is only 45 minutes by road or train. Golland Cottage offers spacious family self catering accommodation on a working farm, surrounded by magnificent scenery in the heart of Perth and Kinross, coupled with being an excellent base to explore the many delights on offer across Central Scotland and beyond
