This region of Perthshire is justly renowned for its wild beauty with so much to explore in every direction. The dramatic landscape has much to offer, go for a gentle stroll along the River Tay, or try out fishing, or for the more adventurous, try your hand at the multitude of activities available, including white water rafting, mountain biking and rock climbing. With 7 Munros within 20 miles, including Ben Lawers, Perthshire’s highest mountain, and Schiehallion, this location is ideal for hikers.
The attractive town of Aberfeldy is only 10 minutes’ drive away and has excellent amenities including an Art Deco community cinema, a famous and highly renowned book shop, bars, cafés and restaurants, as well as galleries, local shops, supermarkets and a whisky distillery. The town hosts events including highland games, the Aberfeldy Festival and the Etape Caledonia cycle race, taking place yearly. The nearby village of Kenmore offers sailing and boat trips on Loch Tay and has a selection of eateries and a loch side beach to enjoy. The location is also perfect for exploring the local history and culture, within a short drive is the 16th-century Castle Menzies, as well as an Iron Age Crannog on Loch Tay and many other castles and monuments.
