Originally built over 150 years ago, The Cornmill is a beautiful old stone mill that has been lovingly and sympathetically converted to make a cottage style house in a rural location. The property provides a high standard of accommodation with a smart interior. Situated in its own natural grounds amidst open farmland, it offers the height of modern living inside and the romance of an old stone cornmill outside. The remains of the old mill wheel have been retained. The main accommodation is open plan. The superb reception room has high vaulted ceilings and large French windows and glass panelled walls that drink in the light. It has been superbly furnished and decorated by the owner, who is also an artist. Some of her paintings and works by other artists adorn the walls and the good sized bedrooms also have an artistic theme, such as an Indian double bedroom on the ground floor. There are two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen/diner. From inside there are views of open farmland and hills.

The Cornmill is part of a complex of properties that once were part of the mill and are now cottages. The mill is located down a private lane in an old part of Auchleven. There are castles, gardens and a whisky trail nearby. The coast is only an hour’s drive away.
