Loch Avon Lodge is a beautifully presented Highland lodge that comfortably sleeps five people. Situated in the Abernethy Forest on a small, quiet holiday park, there are opportunities to walk, cycle and spot wildlife in all directions.
Upon arriving at the property, you will find parking for two cars. Steps lead up to the large, private decking area which has comfortable garden furniture.
You are greeted with fresh and well put together décor upon entering the property. The open plan living, dining and kitchen area is spacious and comfortable for up to five people. The lodge is light and airy with windows all around, each framing flora and fauna to sit and marvel at.
Beyond the well equipped kitchen is a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a spacious twin bedroom and a single bedroom; all benefit from large windows allowing dappled forest light to shine through.
This peaceful retreat is perfect if you want to switch off and enjoy nature. However, it’s not far away from many places of interest. Boat of Garten is the closest village, with shops and eateries, as well as a golf course and a steam railway. Nethy Bridge is also close by and a little further afield is Grantown-on-Spey and Aviemore.
For those interested in outdoor activities, Loch Avon Lodge is perfectly placed to pursue hiking, cycling, mountain biking, canoeing, sailing and fishing, which deserves a special mention because in addition to Loch Garten, which is only half a mile away, the River Spey, with trout and salmon fishing, is only 1 mile away. Permits can be bought in Boat of Garten. Since the lodge is located in Speyside, there are many distilleries to visit and sample a few ‘drams’. Glenfiddich, Glenlivet and Aberlour distilleries are close by. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 1½ miles.
