The Jacobite Steam Train (seasonal) in Fort William allows you to view some of the most magnificent scenery, or for the more energetic, The Ice Factor in Kinlochleven offers climbers the chance to climb the indoor ice wall. Travel by gondola up Aonoch Mor and enjoy the restaurant with panoramic views, or visit the dry ski slope and world class mountain bike track. Wildlife is in abundance with wild deer, porpoises, minke whales, otters and a variety of birds often spotted. Cross on the Corran Ferry and head for Ardnamurchan Point, the most westerly point in Britain, or sail to the Inner Hebrides.
A wide range of outdoor activities are on offer nearby including climbing, skiing, golf, mountain biking, fishing and a variety of watersports. There are also plenty of gentle forest walks, beautiful gardens, museums and castle ruins to visit. The area is famous for its rich historical legacy and Inverness, Loch Ness and the Isle of Skye are all within easy reach. Beach 10½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
