This detached bungalow enjoys an elevated position with views over towards the inner Cromarty Firth and on towards the Black Isle. The Stag and Coo has been furnished and equipped to a very good standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible, and makes a perfect base for exploring this lovely part of the Scottish Highlands.
Just a short drive will take you into the Highland capital of Inverness, where you will find something for everyone, including a large range of shops, fine restaurants and bars, along with art galleries, museums and open topped bus tours to name but a few of the many amenities. Take a cruise on Loch Ness with the ruins of Urquhart Castle on its shores or visit the Cairngorms National Park with Aviemore at it’s heart. Here you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding, zip lining, zorbing, horse riding and a large variety of watersports, a superb area for the outdoor enthusiast. Visit the Highland Folk Museum at Kingussie, the Wildlife Park at Kincraig or the Forest Adventure Park in Carrbridge.
Travel further afield and take a day trip to the beautiful Isle of Skye or north to the Orkney Islands, both are highly recommended. The area is renowned for its large number of historical attractions, which include Culloden Battlefield, Fort George and Cawdor and Brodie castles. Enjoy golfing on some of Scotland’s most spectacular courses, including Macdonald Spey Valley, Royal Dornoch and Castle Stuart, with the Fairways Course and driving range within easy reach. Mountain biking, watersports, fishing, climbing and hill walking are also widely available.
A trip along the Moray Firth coastline is highly recommended to visit some of the many small fishing villages and unspoilt beaches, or explore some of the many whisky distilleries along the Malt Whisky Trail – the only one of its kind in the world! On the Moray Firth, the WDCS Dolphin Centre is the perfect place to catch sight of the bottlenose dolphins. Depending on the time of year, you might even be able to do some whale watching. Minke and killer whales both visit these waters, and there have been sightings of sperm whales and pilot whales also. For the less energetic, sit back, relax and unwind, and enjoy the ever changing vistas. Beach 28 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
