Broughton House is rich in history and style which gives it the distinctive look it has today. The extensive gardens which surround it share the buildings flare and grandeur and are awash with vivid colours and exotic plants. The house is of particular fame as it was purchased by the artist E A Hornel in 1901. He used it as his home, studio and gallery all of which can be viewed today by visitors to Broughton House and Gardens.
