Starting once again in the heart of Dumfries, this cycle route takes a westerly route instead to explore the area surrounding Glenkiln. This gives you chance to view the famed sculptures which sit around the reservoir there whilst taking a break from the loop, just short of 25 miles.

Heading out of Dumfries you'll follow the Cluden Water up to its formation in Drumpark taking in some fantastic views along the way, whilst on the way back crossing through the villages of Shawhead and Terregles and getting a real feel for the heritage of the area. At 23 miles this ride means you get to experience a lot whilst still making time for a few breaks to view the attractions on route.
