Mill Loch Cottage, as the name suggests, has lovely views from the patio area to the rear of the cottage over the Mill Loch. This wonderful, terraced home from home is set within peace and tranquillity and makes the ideal spot to end your day after exploring this beautiful area. Mill Loch Cottage has been refurbished in 2018 and offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a lovely wood burner in the living room, ideal to curl up in front of on those chillier Scottish nights.
Lochmaben is a small village with an intriguing history that dates back to the 13th century. Lochmaben Castle was once the home of Robert the Bruce, and you can see a statue of Robert in the town centre. The village has three lochs, all within walking distance of the cottage, which offer great walks of varying length, and sailing and golf can also be found here. Lochmaben has easy access to the whole of Dumfries and Galloway and is an ideal base from which to explore. If its long walks on the beach, inland car journeys along peaceful country roads, adrenalin filled activities or visits to historical sites, you could not be better placed to enjoy this magical area. Beach 13½ miles. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
